Come October each year, the fisherman around Lake Michigan gets pretty busy. With the rains and cold front moving in last week, Jeff & I drove up to southern tip of Wisconsin to check out what is going on with the salmon run. As we approached the river bends, we noticed a few fly fishermen standing in the water. We had only a couple of hours to fish, so we hurried and got suited up. We spotted a few fish right away, and they were full of energy as they are in the early season going up to spawn. I had no luck this day hooking a fish, but my friend hooked one to take home. I’m travelling right now, but I will be back soon to hook me a few of these beasts.
