2009 Fall Outing…

I had an opportunity to join the Rainbow Fly Fishing Club’s fall outing last weekend for some good lenok trout fishing, great people, and some heavy drinking. It was a good mix of people from different backgrounds, different skill levels, different age groups… all joined together through passion for fly fishing. We gathered at Nariencheon, which was river big enough to host all 30+ people for fishing. It was good to meet some of the founding members of the Rainbow Club, to listen to their tales about the young days of Korean fly fishing, how it’s evolved, and where they see it heading. Sure there was a few of us who had too much to drink and got loud in that small town, but hey – what’s alcohol good for if it doesn’t make you a little louder... Fishing was good, conversations were good, and it was a rare opportunity to meet some of the pioneers of Korean fly fishing… and a great excuse to get really drunk out of our minds.

  1. Yes, and I can remember what happened only because I have photos to remind me.
