Pennsylvania Stream

Pennsylvania is known to contain wealth of trout streams. Many streams with good wild trout populations which is my preferred fishing ground. Over the winter, I've gathered a bunch of information on where to find the wild trout streams and got their bearing using topo map.


Thin blue lines on this map, particularly within the state or national parks will lead me to find landscapes and wild trouts I am fond of.


The water level seemed low as the state didn't get much of snow.


The creek contained predominantly rainbows. They looked very healthy.

I have a feeling this stream is going to be one of my favorite.

    love it. and love that you wrote typo instead of topo. Ive only fished around erie pa for steelhead. one day lets getntogehter and go to the state college area.

    Very nice creek! You have a lot of nice places to go out there. I actually finding out a lot of locations here too towards Searra mountains, but the trout season isn't open yet. It opens end of april I heard.

    Ksanchun, I am lucky to be surrounded by many beautiful creeks that are open year-round. I think northern cali also has a few year round creeks. It is the most difficult but fun part to look for productive creek that are not pressured by many anglers. "It's like a box of chocolate, you never know what you will find"

    I have some family things I have to put more time into recently, but I am slowly trying to learn about more fishing locations in this area. Local Orvis shop is holding seminar on how to approach and where to go on certain rivers in this area. Oh boy, I have so many places to go once trout season is open.

    신박사님, 사진에 있는 로드는 제가 직접 만든게 아니지만 Rattan Grip 으로 주문했어요. cork grip이 사용되기 전에는 대나무과에 속하는 Rattan 이라는 줄기형태의 식물체도 사용됫다고 하네요. 조금은 미끄럽기는 하지만 작은 로드로 쓰기에는 적당한것 같아요. 모든 진동을 차단 하지않고 그대로 전달이 돼는것 같아요. Sensitive 하다고 해야 할까요?
