The Grove
I headed over to the local lake Independence Grove to find many many anglers there this weekend. I found myself a really weedy section and started to throw some poppers and messy wooly buggers. I found some bass and also found a cat fish at the end of the line. People in the boats were amazed when I pulled this out of the water with a 4 weight fly rod.

i'm amaazed too. I've never caught one on the fly. I love the grove. did you see bass on the beds?
ReplyDeleteit’s only the second time this has ever happened to me as well. There seems to be a lot of bass on the beds, I saw a few larger ones hooked by lures. Better if you have poppers with weed guards, as I was getting hung up every other cast. I wonder if they recently stocked it and we just don’t know about it, there was more anglers here than I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI love to visit you again and catch some bass. I should protice bass catching with the poppers in Korea this summer. We are planning a trip sometime with flot tubes. I will soon posted.
