Four River Project Protest… Religious leaders lead the protest.

Campaigns in opposition to the $19 billion dollar Four Major Rivers Restoration Project have been spreading rapidly, and the protests over the feared environmental impact is being lead by various religious leaders (Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists and Won Buddhists). Bird Conservation Organizations are also actively spreading the news and concern about the inevitable damage to the habitat and survival of the birds. The main concern for all is the speed at which the construction is being pushed through. Read more about it in below links. Mr. Bae’s trip to Akan National Park, Hokkaido.

BTW - I heard they refer to Mr. Bae as the “Korean Bear” in Hokkaido.

old time Korean fly fisherman

I can’t recall exactly where I found these photos but someone took photos a looong time ago of an old Korean fly fisherman… or perhaps we should call him an old Tenkara fly fisherman. Looks like wet flies. Interesting looking man and I’m pretty sure of what he’s smoking in that long pipe of his. Dude looks ready to catch some fish.

When I can’t get to trout (because kids baseball season in full swing), pounding on local blue gills & bass will do. I guess you can call this one of the nice things about living in the burbs.
